Here’s what Shock Mansion had to say…
“Berlin’s one and only 1UP crew are going to release their own DVD this December. Titled 1UP Berlin – One United Power the DVD presents 4 hours of 1UP graffiti from within the past eight years, including dope writing actions, street-pieces, roof-top rollers, whole-cars, and a lot more mainly recorded in Berlin but also during their trips to Istanbul, Paris, Cuba, and other places around the globe. I’m pretty sure, everyone who has ever visited Berlin, has seen a handful of 1UP graffiti whether they realise it or not. Up on the roofs, down in the subway tunnels or on trains, cars or walls, 1UP is everywhere and for that reason they play a large part of Berlin’s street culture and graffiti scene. Don’t miss the trailer after the jump, it gets pretty wild…”
And here are a few from 1UP that really caught my eye…

I was already a big fan of the ‘Swet goes Red’ project. This was where Swet painted 100 pieces in 100 days, with only 1 fill colour.
Here’s what Molotow had to say about it,
“The 100 Pieces in 100 Days Project featuring Swet has started december 1st 2009! From that day on danish graffiti writer Swet tries to set up a new record. Swet about the project: “for me it’s a challenge to see if I can find the time to paint even more without neglecting work or my family. And of course see what I can do with my style when all the pieces have to be different and with only one fill in colour to work with…” Good luck! 100 Pieces in 100 Days. Here you can follow him until march 10th 2010. In use: the MOLOTOW™ Premium 400ml Swet100 Traffic Red. Keep checking that section for daily updates with photos and notes by Swet.”
So, why talk about it again?
I just recently watched a video from Molotow.TV that almost had me in tears! Yeah, that’s right.
It is of Swet painting his 100th piece, where he paints a Dare and Swet on a train. I’d already seen the photos of this on the Molotow website. The video, however, pairs Swet painting his pieces along with Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’, creating a fairly beautiful video.
At the end of the video we see a quote direct from Swet that really made me think about how painful it must be to lose a friend, and also brought home the fact that Dare isn’t just a faceless writer that you won’t hear about anymore, but that Sigi von Koeding was someone’s best friend.
Both pieces by Swet for the last day of the SWET goes RED (100 pieces in 100 days) project.
